The Good Index exists because this data is technically public but practically buried — scattered across hundred-page tariff PDFs that change every year. We extract it, cite it, verify it, and keep it current, for free.
The site is built and operated by The Good Studio, the team behind Hauled — a reconciliation service that audits carrier invoices against contracts and these very tariffs. Maintaining this reference is how we stay current; publishing it is how we're useful before anyone pays us anything. That relationship is disclosed on every page.
